When instruments sit on different benches, robots move the samples between them. This group includes single robotic arm workstations, dual-arm collaborative systems, mobile robots that travel between rooms, automated sample stores and microplate handlers. Safety design follows ISO 10218 and, for robots sharing space with staff, ISO/TS 15066. Plate handling relies on ANSI/SLAS formats, so most readers, washers and incubators can be integrated.
