Labs receiving BX, NX and HQ core need one splitting jig instead of a set of fixed sizes. This jig takes discs of 38–75 mm diameter and up to 50 mm thick between flat 80 × 60 mm hardened platens. Adjustable side stops centre the disc, a pack of 100 bearing strips is supplied and the jig is rated to 150 kN.
