Blood films, Gram and acid-fast smears and tissue sections make up most daily microscope work in a hospital lab. This binocular model uses a four-objective plan achromat set (4×, 10×, 40×, plus a 100× oil lens; NA 0.10 to 1.25) with WF10×/20 mm eyepieces, covering 40× to 1,000×. An Abbe NA 1.25 condenser with iris and a 30° head round it out.
