Every ASR method depends on reading small length changes accurately over weeks or months. This comparator takes 250 mm and 285 mm specimens and adjusts up to 300 mm, reading 0.001 mm over a 12.5 mm range. An invar 295 mm reference bar checks zero before each set, and readings transfer by USB cable.
