Coated board, varnished cartons and laminated packaging are approved partly on gloss. This meter measures at 75° for paper, with 20° and 60° also available, over an area of about 10 × 20 mm. Readings span 0–100 gloss units with ±0.1 unit repeatability, averaged across several positions.
