Rock masses need far higher pressures and finer displacement readings than a soil pressuremeter gives. This 74 mm dilatometer fits NX boreholes, loads the wall to 20 MPa and measures radial expansion on three LVDTs at 120° with 0.001 mm resolution over 10 mm. A 100 m cable lets it work in deep dam and tunnel boreholes.
