Converting arsenic, selenium and mercury into gases before the plasma gives near-complete transport and much lower limits. This module supports hydride and cold vapour modes for seven elements, reaching 0.005–0.1 µg/L with a low dead volume gas-liquid separator. Sample uptake is 2–8 mL/min with borohydride reductant. It also couples to chromatography for speciation.
