Oils, chocolate, dried fruit and spices often contain volatiles or so little water that loss-on-drying misleads. This titrator measures water itself, in volumetric mode for 0.1–100 percent or coulometric mode for 10 µg–10 mg. Samples can be injected directly or transferred from an oven programmable at 50–250 °C. Methanol-based or solvent-free reagents both work.
