Standard probes can pass too deeply into weak or lightweight concrete to give a usable reading. This low-power system uses reduced cartridges and Ø7.94 mm enlarged-head probes for strengths of about 7–25 MPa. Probes are fired in sets of three through a 177.8 mm triangular template and read with a 0.025 mm dial gauge.
