Routine SDS-PAGE, purity checks and western prep run on 8 x 7 cm gels in this mini vertical unit. Run 1–4 gels per session; gels can be 0.75, 1.0 or 1.5 mm thick, and combs come in 10, 12, 15 or 17 wells, in about 600–1000 mL buffer. Typical runs take 40–90 min at 100–200 V, up to 300 V DC and 400 mA for two gels.
