Trace analysis reagents and ultrapure polisher feed need the cleanest Type II water. Strong acid cation and strong base anion resins in one bed bring this unit up to 18.2 MΩ·cm at 1–20 L/min, with 500–20,000 L capacity. Vessels are FRP, PP or stainless, and regeneration uses backwash then acid and caustic. Resistivity is alarmed.
