Feeding, infection and harvest timing are easier with a live viable cell signal instead of daily samples. This capacitance probe reads viable cell density from about 1 x 10⁵ to 1 x 10⁸ cells/mL in seconds, with an optional 0.1–20 MHz multi-frequency scan. After calibration it agrees with offline counts to within ±10%.
