When lab turnaround is too slow for moisture, protein, octane or blend uniformity, put NIR on the line. Choose diode-array or FT-NIR over 780–2500 nm, with 1–30 s scans and ≤ 0.5 nm wavelength accuracy. Transmission, reflectance and flow-cell probes connect on fibres up to 100 m, keeping electronics out of hazardous zones.
