Satellite transfusion points and small blood banks can keep plasma at –25 °C to –40 °C in a 600 × 650 × 830 mm undercounter unit. It holds 80–200 L, about 40–120 units of 250 mL, in 2–4 drawers with ±3 °C uniformity. It also works as a contingency freezer when the main store is serviced.
