This ultracentrifuge uses zonal or continuous-flow rotors of 0.5–3 L at 25,000–50,000 rpm, about 50,000–100,000 × g, processing 0.5–10 L/h in flow mode. Sucrose, iodixanol or caesium chloride gradients can be used depending on model. Rotors are titanium or aluminium alloy.
