Thickness Testing — Paper Analysis Equipment

Caliper drives stiffness, bulk and how many sheets fit a ream or carton. We build dead-weight and motorised gauges, digital micrometers, corrugated board gauges and online laser caliper systems. Each bench gauge is configured to the foot area and pressure in your method, whether that is ISO 534, TAPPI T411, ISO 3034 for board or ISO 12625-3 for tissue.

How to specify

  1. Tissue needs the low pressure foot defined in ISO 12625-3.
  2. Corrugated board uses a larger foot than paper gauges.
  3. Motorised lowering removes operator influence on readings.
