Research work often needs angles and speeds outside the standard Superpave settings. This compactor accepts 100 and 150 mm moulds, sets the angle from 0 to 3°, speed from 5 to 60 rpm and pressure from 100 to 1000 kPa. It measures shear stress each gyration and height to 0.01 mm, plotting densification and shear curves.
