Measuring several hundred tablets per batch by hand is neither practical nor consistent. A vibratory bowl presents tablets singly at 1–3 per second, logs each thickness and sorts out-of-limit units into a reject bin. Sample sizes run from 1 to 500 tablets of 3–20 mm diameter.
