Pilot-scale harvests of cells, yeast or virus run into tens of litres, too much for batch rotors. This continuous-flow centrifuge spins at 15,000–35,000 rpm (roughly 60,000 × g maximum), processing 10–100 L/h through a bowl holding 0.2–1 L of solids. A peristaltic pump feeds 0.1–2 L/min. Wetted parts are 316L stainless, PTFE and silicone.
