Convertible Two- and Three-Hinged Arch Apparatus

Many labs want to teach both arch types without buying two rigs, and this model switches between them with one lockable crown hinge. The parabolic rib spans 1000 mm with a 300 mm rise and carries nine sliding hangers loaded up to 100 N. Thrust is balanced with a pulley and weights and checked with a 0.01 mm dial gauge, and a uniform load bar is optional.
