Three-Hinged Semicircular Arch Apparatus
半圆形三铰拱试验装置
A three-hinged arch is statically determinate, so students can calculate the thrust by hand and check it on the bench. This model spans 1000 mm with a 500 mm rise, using a 25 × 6 mm steel rib on ball-bearing hinges. Seven hangers take weights up to 100 N, and the thrust at the roller springing is balanced and read directly with a pulley and hanger.
