Ducted Class I Biosafety Cabinet

When aerosols are odorous, or small amounts of chemicals or radionuclides are involved, a ducted Class I cabinet sends exhaust outside. A thimble or direct collar connects to a 200–300 mm duct, airflow is 300–800 m3/h, and inflow at 0.7 to 1.0 m/s is monitored. A fan interlock is standard on direct connection.
