Routine microbiology, QC and teaching labs working with non-volatile materials can choose Type A1. About 70% of air recirculates, the contaminated plenum is positive or atmospheric, and supply and exhaust use H14 HEPA. Widths are 900–1500 mm with 600–750 mm work height.
