Hand compaction of a modified test means 280 heavy blows, and results drift as the operator tires. This compactor delivers about 30 blows/min with interchangeable 2.5 kg and 4.5 kg rammers into 101.6 or 152.4 mm moulds. The rotating base spreads blows evenly and the counter stops at the preset number.
