Biosecurity, veterinary and outbreak teams can extract at the point of need from sealed, prefilled cartridges. The unit runs 1–16 samples of 100–500 µL in about 15–30 min, lysing at up to 90 °C and eluting 30–100 µL. Power comes from a rechargeable battery or 12 V DC at about 30 W, for use at about 5–40 °C.
