Mining projects drill a lot of HQ core, and testing it at full size avoids sub-coring and suits coarser rock. This cell takes 63.5 mm specimens up to 140 mm long at confining pressure up to 60 MPa. The nickel-plated body weighs about 17 kg and has the same quick-release coupling as our smaller cells.
