Unlike fixed-filter readers, this plate instrument uses a monochromator, so you can dial in any wavelength (1 nm increments) between 230 and 1000 nm. It reads 6- to 384-well plates, finishes a 96-well plate in ≤60 s at one wavelength and incubates from ambient +4 °C to 45 °C. That makes nucleic acid quantitation in plates possible alongside ELISA.
