Routine immunoblots of mini gels go quickly on a semi-dry transfer unit using only 20–60 mL of buffer. It takes 1–4 mini or midi gels over an electrode area of about 150 x 150 mm, transferring in about 15–60 min at up to 30 V and 400 mA depending on model. Electrodes are stainless or platinum-coated titanium, with passive air cooling.
