Large proteins, membrane proteins and big preparative gels transfer best in a tank. This system takes mini (8 x 10 cm), midi and large (16 x 20 cm) gels in 1–4 cassettes, running about 60–120 min at 100 V, or left to run through the night at 30–40 V. It supports up to 200 V and 2 A depending on model, in 500–3,000 mL buffer with an internal cooling coil.
