Fragile cells and multi-product suites can combine low shear with disposable contact parts. This airlift bioreactor circulates by 0.5–2 vvm gas in a 1–500 L film bag or rigid liner, with no impeller. Single-use pH and DO sensors are fitted, bags are gamma irradiated, and pressure rating is up to 0.2 bar.
