Three-Geophone Light Weight Deflectometer

A single centre reading gives only a composite stiffness, so layered pavements need the shape of the deflection bowl. This LWD adds geophones at 300 and 600 mm offsets to the centre sensor and measures force on a 0–15 kN load cell, sampling at 50 kHz. Plates of 100, 200 and 300 mm are included, and software back-calculates layer moduli.
