This apparatus holds up to eight Ø 100 × 50 mm discs in a Ø 300 mm desiccator and draws vacuum below 6.65 kPa with a 2 L/s pump. A timer runs the 3 h vacuum, 1 h under water and 18 h soak sequence, with water admitted by stopcock.
