The set measures 20 × 20 × 30 mm specimens in radial, tangential and longitudinal directions on a 0.01 mm dial gauge stand and weighs them on a 0.001 g balance. Volume is found by immersion with a needle holder, and 50 lidded weighing bottles track each specimen through soaking and drying.
