Viscosity Testing — Lubricant Testing Equipment

Lubricant viscosity is measured at several temperatures and shear conditions to fully grade an oil. We supply manual capillary baths, automatic kinematic analyzers, Stabinger viscometers, cold cranking simulators, mini-rotary viscometers and tapered bearing simulators for HTHS. Formulators usually need several of these; QC labs may need only one or two. Configurations can follow ASTM D7042, with ASTM D5293 and ASTM D445 also supported.

How to specify

Match instruments to the grading tests your product specifications actually require.
Viscosity index calculation needs results at both 40 and 100 °C.
Stabinger units also give density, useful when sample volume is limited.
