BS practice finds sand density limits with a 1 L mould and a glass cylinder rather than a large table. This set compacts sand under water in a 105 mm, 1 L mould using an electric hammer with 102 mm tamper foot. Minimum density comes from inverting sand in a 1000 mL glass cylinder.
