Cell culture, clinical microbiology, sterility testing and molecular work are the everyday territory of Type A2. Air enters the front at 0.38 to 0.51 m/s while the downflow runs at 0.25 to 0.35 m/s, protecting operator and sample, with about 70% recirculated through H14 supply and exhaust filters. Widths are 900–1800 mm.
