At fast flows, starting and stopping a stopwatch by eye causes most of the scatter in seepage tests. This permeameter uses a pressure transducer reading water level to 0.1 mm and starts and stops timing automatically on a 150 mm test area. It calculates mL/min and cm/s and stores 1,000 GPS-tagged tests.
