One setup can give both a spark-ready surface and chips for combustion analysis. Swing over bed is 200–400 mm, sample length up to 500–1000 mm, and spindle speed 100–2500 rpm. Carbide or ceramic inserts leave Ra about 1–3 µm; chips drop into a tray. Flood coolant is optional.
