Sedimentation Pipette Apparatus for Fine Soils

The pipette method draws samples at fixed depth and time, giving a more precise clay fraction than a hydrometer. This apparatus lowers a 25 mL glass pipette to 100 mm on a rack-and-pinion stand with 0.5 mm scale. Two 500 mL sedimentation tubes and six weighing bottles complete the set.
