Pharmaceutical polymorphs, polymers and humidity-sensitive clays give better data in transmission than reflection. This diffractometer measures 1–20 mg sealed in 0.3–1.0 mm air-tight capillaries, spins them during collection and scans 0–150° 2-theta with a position-sensitive or area detector. Tube power ranges from 30 to 1500 W. Suited to scarce powder samples.
