Cone penetration testing gives a continuous record of tip resistance, sleeve friction and, with a piezocone, pore pressure, which makes it the fastest way to map soil layering. We offer hand-operated Dutch cones, hydraulic push machines anchored by screw augers, crawler-mounted rigs, electric piezocone systems and seismic cones. Push capacity, the stiffness of the ground and whether you need digital CPTU data decide the setup. Probes are built to the geometry in ASTM D5778 and BS EN ISO 22476-1, and mechanical cones follow ASTM D3441.
