Aggregate abrasion value measures how fast surfacing chippings wear under tyre abrasion, complementing the polished stone value for high-speed roads. We build BS and EN abrasion machines, a model with inverter speed control and an automatic sand feeder, a teaching-grade bench unit and specimen mould sets. Your standard, test frequency and sand handling arrangements decide the choice. The machines are made for BS 812-113 and the AAV annex of BS EN 1097-8.
