The methylene blue value detects swelling clays in sand and filler that a sand equivalent test may miss, and it is now required for manufactured sand in many specifications. We supply a complete EN test set, a digital stirrer, an automatic titrator, a rapid colorimetric kit and a portable field kit. Sample count, need for objective end-point detection and the standard you follow decide the choice. Typical methods are BS EN 933-9, AASHTO T 330 and ASTM C1777.
