Buckling governs the design of slender compression members, and students rarely believe how little load it takes until they watch a strut bow sideways. We supply Euler strut rigs with interchangeable end fixings, digital load cell versions, eccentric loading apparatus for Southwell plots, a motorised 20 kN frame for longer struts and a lateral torsional buckling rig for beams. Strut length, end conditions and load measurement method decide the choice. Our lab manuals compare results with the buckling curves of BS EN 1993-1-1 and IS 800.
