The point load test gives a fast strength index on core, blocks or irregular lumps, often at the drill site, and is widely used to estimate uniaxial compressive strength. We offer manual testers with analogue gauges, digital units with peak hold, electric-pump models with data logging, heavy-duty 100 kN frames and a low-range unit for weak rock. Rock strength, specimen size and site conditions decide the choice. Most buyers report results to ASTM D5731 or IS 8764.
