Uneven or out-of-square ends concentrate stress and can cut measured rock strength sharply, so cores must be sawn to length and their ends ground flat. We supply core cutting saws, large block saws, single-end and double-end lapping machines and a combined saw-grinder for smaller labs. Core diameter, the flatness tolerance you must meet and daily throughput decide the choice. Our machines are set up to meet the end flatness and perpendicularity limits of ASTM D4543, which IS 9179 also covers for Indian practice.
