Unconfined compressive strength is the quickest measure of undrained strength in clays and the acceptance test for lime and cement stabilised soils. We offer a hand-operated tester with proving ring, a motorised strain-controlled unit, a digital tester with load cell and software, a 50 kN machine for soil-cement cylinders and a specimen trimming and split mould set. Specimen size, strength range and reporting needs decide the model. Common references include ASTM D2166, ISO 17892-7 and, for stabilised cylinders, ASTM D1633.
